DISABLED GUATEMALANS IN NEED.....Can you help?

Sarah, at the age of 18 was shot on her back in Guatemala city  by street gang members, leaving her paralyzed from her waist down.  She had no access to any kind of health insurance, which is the case with many  Guatemalans.  With the help of some friends we rebuilt an old wheel chair that had been donated for her use.

She married four yeas after and had a little girl; unfortunately she died as a result of an infected ulcer in Tiquisate, Guatemala at the age of 23.

Like  Sarah there are hundreds of people who are in need of equipment to make their lives easier and more productive.

I encourage people who have something they would like to donate.  We need equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, etc and volunteers who could help arranging shipping of items, and people who know of others in need.
